If you want to rent a property from agents that do not bother or care about the tenant once they have got you signed up and living in one of the properties are rude , leave you with toilets that have rising excrement or damp in walls and rooms after reporting it numerous times being told lies about it being 'fixed etc'and having appointments made and not kept.....then these are your people to deal with!!
I booked an appointment to view a property with Ryan. He confirmed I was the first to book an appointment. I showed up ten minutes early to a Friday 9am appointment and waited twenty-five minutes. I then left a message with Marcus Jordan & Co to call me back when no one showed, leaving my mobile twice in the voicemail. I never got a call back that day. I tried calling three times again in the afternoon (it was exactly the type of property I'd been waiting for!!) but no one picked up the phone.On the Monday I called again and I was told that I was wrong that I got no notification of the cancellation and that I had to have received an SMS or a call because it's "what they do". When I booked a new appointment, they discovered that they had used the Rightmove phone number instead of the one I'd given them. I received no apology for their mistake.The second appointment was cancelled (the next Friday at 3pm) as Marcus Jordan had booked viewings, but had not secured a key to the property (!!!). I then booked an appointment for the following Monday at 9am and received an SMS at 08:56, as I was waiting in the drive, that the place had been let agreed.As I had to post something in Olney that morning anyway, I went to the office to provide feedback in the hopes that it would help others avoid the experience I had. I spoke with a Sarah who stated she was the manager. To her it was normal to use an 0300 number to text people, and talked over me when I suggested that the number I'd given wasn't used. She continued this way, defending her team, when I brought up other points, not letting me finish.People make mistakes, there are things that happen unexpectedly, but I feel that they failed to handle this reasonably. Marcus Jordan clearly feels differently.
We rented house that was managed by Marcus Jordan for the last 7 years. Myself, my wife and our 3 children in a 4 bed house in Olney. We cannot praise Will and the team enough, as their service has been second to none. If there was ever an issue it was always sorted promptly and we were always informed with progress. They really take the stress out of having to organise the trades as they do everything for you. We also felt they always took time to understand our situation and requirements and acted fairly in the interests of both landlord and tennant. I would highly recommend Will and his team and would have no issues renting through them again.
Once you are in the house very little help is given. They will tell you an items in the post or somebody will be attending the property to make a repair. they lied all the time regarding timescales. We were left without hot water on many occasions. Probably something to do with the fact that the boiler wasn't serviced correctly for over a year. We then had to fight to get any of our deposit back. Completely unreasonable given the service.
